Geneva Graham McNeil

Mother Geneva Graham McNeil better known as "Sister" was the first born child of the late Mr. P.R. and Mrs. Alberta Stuckey Graham. She was born on November 10, 1921. Sister was educated in the public schools of Florence County. She was a homemaker and a child care provider. She was married in 1938 to the late Mr. Herman Belin Sr. and to this union 3 children were born. In 1943 she and her family moved to Baltimore, Maryland. She returned to South Carolina in 1947 where she met and was joined in matrimony to the late Mr. Legette McNeil, who raised her 3 children as his own. In 1948 she became an active member of the Aimwell Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Dr. J.L. Brooks, where she was a member of the choir and the missionary society. In 1964 she returned to Baltimore, Maryland with her husband and she joined the Homestead United Methodist Church where she was actively involved with the choir, missionary and various auxiliaries. After her husband's retirement, her son, Mr. Herman Belin, Jr. moved them to their new home on April 10, 1994 locate at 969 Chinaberry Road in Johnsonville, South Carolina. 

Sister reunited with the Aimwell Baptist Church and returned to the choir and missionary society. She was also honored to serve as the Church Mother. Needless to say, she loved and was loved by her church family. In addition to her par-ents and husband, 

she was preceded to the grave by her daughter, Mrs. Leslie Belin Medley, her son Mr. Willie L. Belin, a nephew she helped raise, Mr. Charles Graham, 3 brothers and 1 great-grandson. 

Sister leaves to cherish her memories: 1 son, Mr. Herman Belin Jr. (Juanita), 2 nephews she helped raise: Mr. Lafayettte Graham (Mary) and Mr. Harmon Graham III (Dorothy), 1 daughter-in-law, Ms. Deborah Belin, 1 son-in-law, Mr. Houston Medley and her godson Bishop Calvin McNeil (Gertie); 18 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Mettie Rue McNeil and Mrs. Geraldine McNeil (Herbert); 7 brothers: Mr. Hamon Graham, Sr., Bishop Fred Graham (Bernice), Rev. McKinley Graham (Lillian), Mr. Judge Graham (Lorraine), Mr. Willie Graham (Elizabeth), Mr. Bobby Graham (Ruth), Mr. John Graham (Justine); 2 other sisters-in-law: Mrs. Rebecca Graham and Mrs. Laura McNeil and a host of other loving relatives and friends and especially the Aimwell Baptist Church family. Sister was blessed with 6 tender loving care takers: Mrs. Geraldine McNeil, Mr. Bobby and Mrs. Ruth Graham, Rev. McKinley Graham, Mrs. Joyce Washington and a very special granddaughter, Ms. Neco Belin.
